Exciting collaboration between GP&J Baker & fashion brand H&M

Exciting times ahead for the world of fashion and Interiors as one of our much loved Heritage brands GP&J Baker and Global fashion brand H&M collaborate on a fabulous fashion collection. This celebration of print is music to our fabric obsessed ears and we were so excited when we learned that GP&J Baker had opened its vast archives to H&M and the stunning prints therein.

In this inspiring  collaboration H&M has stayed true to GP&J Bakers wonderful print heritage and used one of our favourite iconic prints; The signature ‘Magnolia’ printed by William Turner in 1913. They have also used the beautiful  Hydrangea Bird and Oriental Bird, both of which are delicate trailing designs which lend themselves wonderfully to floaty jumpsuits and blouses.

Obviously for us as interior designers we are constantly  immersed in the iconic fabric collections by GP&J Baker so this collaboration is a wonderful way to share the joy that beautiful and heritage print  brings: by introducing it to a new contemporary audience such as the H and M customer. To see these treasured designs that we love to use in Interiors, continuing their journey into the fashion arena is really exciting and inspiring for us. Fashion editors and magazines such as Vogue are already behind the collaboration and there really is a buzz about it in the fashion world.

The pieces H&M have designed are feminine and effortless and will be appealing to those of us who love both fashion and fabulous print design. We at Furnish and Fettle cannot wait to see how H&M have translated GP&J Bakers amazingly rich archive into Fashion and will be first in the queue on the 2nd of August when the collection is launched. You’ll catch us in our showroom wearing and the prints we love to use in our schemes and we couldn’t be any more excited.
